『ウイイレ』シリーズ待望の最新作『ワールドサッカー ウイニングイレブン 2014 蒼き侍の挑戦』が5月22日（木）にPS3・PSP・ニンテンドー3DSの3機種で同時発売されることが決定した。
本作では、発売中の『ウイニングイレブン 2014』の全モードに加え、新たに「ジャパンチャレンジ」モードを収録。日本代表を操り、アジア予選から世界制覇を目指す激闘を体験することできる。
プレイモードは、チーム全体を操作する「チームモード」と、一人の選手だけを操作する「プレイヤーモード」の2種類を搭載。「チームモード」では監督として日本代表のメンバーを選出、戦術を設定し、自分だけの日本代表で世界に挑むことができる。「プレイヤーモード」では実在する日本代表選手になりきることも、「ビカム・ア・レジェンド」で育てたオリジナルプレーヤーを使用することもでき、GKからFWまで全ポジションでプレイすることが可能だ。
初収録となる永遠の“聖地”国立競技場で、全権監督としてオリジナルの日本代表で世界へ挑むか、SAMURAI BLUEの一員としてチームに貢献し、勝利を手にして世界最高のプレーヤーを目指そう！
さらに、Jリーグの公式ライセンスを受け、2014シーズンのJ1・J2全40クラブ、1,000人以上の所属選手を収録した「J.LEAGUE(TM)」モードも新たに収録。好きな選手を収集・育成して国内最強のクラブを目指す「Jリーグ版マスターリーグ」も搭載される。Jリーグに加え、ヤマザキナビスコカップ、天皇杯も収録しており、シリーズ史上初めて“三冠”達成を目指すことが可能になった。
また、Jリーグアウォーズも初搭載され、最優秀選手賞、得点王、ベストイレブンなどを獲得する喜びを味わうこともできるぞ。その他にもAFCチャンピオンズリーグ（2013シーズン）、クラブインターナショナルカップも搭載されているので、世界一のクラブを目指して戦おう！
