リヴァプールを率いるユルゲン・クロップ監督が、史上2番目の速さでプレミアリーグ通算100勝を達成した。
4日に行われたプレミアリーグ第15節でリヴァプールはホームでエヴァートンと対戦。今シーズン最初の“マージーサイド・ダービー”は、ディヴォック・オリジやサディオ・マネらのゴールなど5－2で制し、リーグ戦6連勝を飾った。
この勝利によって、クロップ監督は159試合目でプレミアリーグ通算100勝に到達。データサイト『OPTA』によると、これはジョゼ・モウリーニョ監督の142試合に次いで、史上2番目の速さでの通算100勝となった。

なお、リヴァプールは今年1月3日に行われたマンチェスター・C戦に（1－2）敗れた試合を最後にプレミアリーグでは無敗を継続中。今シーズンも開幕から唯一無敗をキープしており、無敗記録は「32」に到達。『OPTA』によると、これは1987年5月から翌年3月まで記録した「31」を上回り、クラブ史上最長記録となっている。
